There’s just some bands where I don’t like their music much, neither most of their members. But still I really like them…

That doesn’t make sense.

Indeed

I started writing a book about Teenagers, their relationships to adults, their problems and that most of the prejudices about us are wrong.

every once in a while I feel the need to save the world, but there’s nothing I can do

March favourites

I’m going to do these at the end of every month/ the beginning of the following month, because I think it’s fun and I can remember more stuff that happened in the past month, what I’ve done and stuff that happened.

Movie: The Hunger Games It was just so freaking good!

Musician: McFly I just randomly obsessed over then again since…late February?

Song: Wizards - Chad Sugg or Dirty Hipster No Nose - Days Of

Youtuber: Joey Graceffa (as always)

TV show: The River (nooo, it’s over)

Thing to happen: Winning the foreign language competition at my school. Again.

Dave Days

Well, I’m pretty much obsessed with his music for a couple days now. He’s an amazing songwriter and guitarist and I really like that punk-rock-pop style of his.

I listened to his songs pretty much non-stop for the past 3 days and still could hear them over and over again.

My favourite song would either be First Kiss of Olive you, because they’re amazing and super cute.

I just wanted that to be said.

My feet freaking hurt since dance class today. Actually my whole body hurts. I’ve got bruises and scratches all over me, because I always try my best to do everything perfectly.

I don’t even want to know how I would look like if mum had sent me to a ballet school, which I really wanted when I was younger.

The River is already over?

For everyone, who doesn’t know it, The River is an American horror/paranormal TV-show, produced by Steven Spielberg. And it’s amazing.

8 episodes were aired, and I watched all of them. And now the season is already over? That’s not fair, no. I want more. I want Lincoln to get together with Lena. I want them to get home. I want Jahel to meet her mum. And them to find the “source” and the Boiuna to be really really mad at them.

I just found these pictures from the last year’s England holiday in Boscastle. We stayed at a place called Paradise Farm. It literally was Paradise.

And I can’t want to get back there this autumn.

Why do I always want to do everything at the same time?

I told my teacher I would finish my presentation until tomorrow. Well, I’ve started yesterday. I signed up to do guided tours in our church from this summer on and my lessons for that have already started. The premiere of the stage play I’m in is next week and I still don’t know my lines. I want to join the other ensemble at our theatre for the summer open-airs.

And of course there’s still school and I have tests every second day.

How am I supposed to survive that, if I go on like that?

Alex Goot will be coming to Germany this summer for a concert and I would love to go.

But he’s only the support act and I don’t like the headliners, Boyce Avenue, that much. Also, I don’t want to drive 3 hours to Berlin and pay 30€ for a ticket, just for the support act.

It’s still Alex Goot though. Let’s hope he’ll come back with his own headlining tour soon and have The Tributes as his support act.

iTunes tumblr survey

I just thought I’d do it, since I have time. Not really, I got a science test tomorrow.

The Hunger Games - movie review

based on the novel by Suzanne Collins

The Hunger Games takes place in a post-apocalyptic world. North America, now Panem, is separated into 12 Districts and the Capitol, which rules over everything. After a rebellion the Capitol decided to have a game called The Hunger Games each year, where a boy and a girl between the age of 12 and 18 from each of the districts have to fight until only one is left, the victor, who gets a good life and more food for its district for a year. It’s about Katniss Everdeen, whose sister Prim gets sent to the Hunger Games, but Katniss volunteers as a tribute and goes instead. There she is with Peeta, who has saved her life before and before Katniss leaves, her best friend Gale pretty much confesses he loves her.

Starring: Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson, Alexander Ludwig, Liam Hemsworth

Director: Gary Ross

I expected a hell lot of this movie. I’ve read all the books and excitedly waited for the movie since I finished them. That was about a year ago. I was there when all the trailers and stills were released and I just couldn’t wait for it. I think it’s an amazing storyline and there’s a lot more amazing stuff to come *cough* Finnick *cough*.

Anyway, the movie was done amazingly well. Many small things from the book were in it. A few nice things were added. Some were left out, but I am okay with it. It was pretty much exactly like the book. I had all the same emotions, just 100x stronger. Many places and scenery were exactly how I imagined them, but of course not all of them.

The actors were amazing. Jennifer Lawrence basically IS Katniss to me. All sorts of small looks or moves were very Katniss like and I could now philosophize about each and every emotion in her facial expression, but I wont. Same for Josh Hutcherson as Peeta adn Liam Hemsworth as Gale. Woody Harrelson as Haymitch and Elisabeth Banks as Effie were absolutely hilarious adn Lenny Kravitz as Cinna seemed so loving and caring and like a father to Katniss. The acting was just perfect in this. So were the costumes and scenery, but I don’t even want to get in detail, cause that would take too long. But the camera work was amazing, so was the music and everything.

I didn’t like the mutts that much. I imagined them more like a very terrifying version of the twilight-wolves, looking a bit like the actors, obviously. But when the first of them suddenly jumped out, I jumped out of my seat. The tracker jacker scene was amazing. And the reaping was so emotional and when Katniss and Peeta were in flames, I couldn’t breathe anymore. Seeing Cato on the Cornucopia was seeing pure pain. It was worse than him falling off the Cornucopia. Alexander Ludwig did really well on that. But I really would’ve liked the “It was all for the games.”m in the end. Also, the cave scene(s) were nothing like I imagined them. I had a picture of a cave in a mountain or so, looking over the woods. It slightly crushed the romance for me. And I would’ve liked nearly naked Peeta at the river (like pretty much everyone else).

Spoiler-alert

I really liked that they added first hints of the rebellion in District 11 when Rue died. Also I liked Seneca trying to keep Katniss from the edge of the arena, because of Haymitch.

Resume:

I give the movie 5/5 stars and am 100% sure with that. As I already said, it was all done perfectly. There were a few things I wasn’t completely happy with, but there were others I loved to death. Also, I cried through around half of the movie (starting at the opening credits). And I want Catching Fire NOW.

Youtubers on German iTunes

I like a lot of Youtube musicians and they keep releasing EP’s. And every time, I am so disappointed, because I can’t get them.

But around half an hour ago I found out, they actually had all these EP’s on our iTunes! So I downloaded the “Panem’s Best” EP by the Tributes and a song from Chad Sugg’s “Fools in Love”.

I’m one of the happiest people on earth right now.

Seriously, I’m so excited for The Hunger Games now

After seeing a review of it and knowing it will be pretty much exactly like the book and just perfect and people have been crying throughout the whole movie (I won’t be different, I guess) I just can’t wait for Sunday. I can’t go earlier, because I’m so busy. Important rehearsals Thursday and Friday and recording studio on Saturday. But then, finally, after around a year of waiting I will finally get to see the movie to one of the best books in the world. I’m so so freaking excited.

Tomorrow when the war began - movie review

based on the Tomorrow novel by John Marsden

Seven teenagers from a small town in Australia decide to go on a camping trip in the wild for a few days. when they come back to their houses, mostly out of town, nobody’s there. There’s no electricity, no internet, no phone. They go into town and it’s filled with soldiers. They decide to offer resistance.

Starring: Caitlin Steasy, Phoebe Tonkin, Rachel Hurd-Wood, Lincoln Lewis

Director: Stuart Beattie

I didn’t expect much when I watched the movie. I knew nothing about the story, but I was surprised at how good it was. It starts happy and harmless with the seven teenagers going camping, joking around and falling in love. But then suddenly it turns into this action thriller when they come back. They start acting like adults because of the situation they’re in, but still don’t want to just sit around and do nothing. They want to earn their freedom and I think that is a very brave thing to do.

I’ve read other critics to that movie before and it was pretty split opinions. Some thought it was alright, some loved it and some hated it. The worse critics though were based on not really thinking about the characters and their lives before that. Most of the characters grew up on farms, pretty much in the wild. The know how to drive ponderous vehicles like tractors and a truck isn’t that hard then. It’s also not that unlikely they had shot animals before, which you have seen in the beginning of the movie. And that was basically what the bad critics consisted of.

Resume:

I would give the film 5/5 stars, since I found it very entertaining. It had a nice storyline, I really liked the actors and their performances. It was funny at times, even though it was a very serious and tense situation they were in. Also, I would love a sequel of it.
